What makes a great smoothie?  Basically, there are
3 keys to a great smoothie.

1. Taste--  it has to taste good or you won't drink
it often enough to help you lose weight.

2. Bulk-- smoothies fill you up. That's why they
work.

3. Protein. It has to have protein. Protein keeps
your appetite satisfied, curbing your cravings and
making it easier to stay on your main diet.


Here are some of our favorite smoothie recipes

Banana Milkshake Smoothie

1. Take 8 ounces of skim or 1% milk ( you can also
use 6 ounces of vanilla yogurt)

2. 1 banana

3. 1 scoop soy protein power

4. 1 packet of Splenda

Blend for 30 seconds. Makes 2 full smoothies. Save
one for an afternoon snack

Blueberry Blast Smoothie

1. Take 6 ounces of vanilla yogurt (as an
alternative, you can use orange juice (reduced
sugar variety or use 4 ounces of OJ and 4ounces
of water, plus a Splenda))

2. 1 cup frozen blueberries

3. 1 scoop soy protein power

4. 1 packet of Splenda

Blend for 30 seconds. Makes 2 full smoothies. Save
one for an afternoon snack
