As a result, even though I was considered attractive, even though my mother assured me every day that eventually I would grow out of it, even though I was smart at school, none of that mattered. Being smart wasn't the problem when I looked in the mirror at my zits. When you have beautiful skin, your skin is only 1% of what makes you "you". But when you have problems with your face, you feel like it's 100% of your identity. You wake up and you go to bed with the same questions. How do I get good skin? How do I clear my face up, finally? Is there any effective natural home routine that will give me clear skin? Good skin comes from good nutrition and good daily grooming routines. Here are the Top Tips from my personal experience and research for getting great skin. 1. Steam. Skin is made up of hundreds of thousands of pores. Bacteria enters your face through a pore. There, it settles, irritates the pore, and causes an infection. The infection may get mixed with oil from the skin, and is then expressed on the surface of your skin as a big red and white pimple. Steam is the first step in opening your pores. Get a good at home steam machine or use a pot of hot water. You can then put the pot on the floor, put a towel over your head and bend over the pot for at good steaming of your face. Be careful of course, not to burn yourself. Alternatively, you can just take a nice warm bubble bath to open up your pores safely. If you ever get a professional facial, you know that it begins with a gentle steaming of your face. That's the reason. To open your pores. 2. Kill the Bacteria. Use a home remedy to kill acne bacteria or buy a professional product with some form of acid to kill the bacteria at the bottom of the pores, if you have acne. 3. Mask. Use an appropriate mask to control your skin. If your skin is oily, use a clay mask. If it's dry, use a moisturizing mask. 4. Eat for good skin. The same foods which support great hair also support great skin. Eat plenty of vegetables, fish and nuts. Avoid red meat or keep it to a minimum. Red meat clogs your skin pores. In fact, all saturated fat is horrible for your skin. So avoid red meat, butter, margarine, all of it. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. You are just getting started!
